Upon arriving at Momijiya Honkan Takaosansou, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive and friendly staff, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The traditional Japanese style room with tatami-mat flooring and paper sliding doors provided an authentic ryokan experience, while the view of the lush forest from our window was simply breathtaking.We had the pleasure of indulging in a sumptuous meal at the kawadoko, an outdoor deck next to the river, where a mesmerizing Maiko performance enhanced our dining experience. The local cuisine served at the restaurant was a true delight, reflecting the essence of Kyoto's culinary heritage.One of the highlights of our stay was the private onsen, where we could unwind in a serene setting surrounded by nature. The semi-outdoor baths with picturesque views were truly rejuvenating, and the option to reserve them for private use added an exclusive touch to our relaxation.The convenience of the free shuttle service provided easy access to nearby temples and attractions, allowing us to explore the beauty of Ukyo Ward without any hassle. The thoughtful amenities in our guestroom, including free WiFi and complimentary bottled water, ensured a comfortable and enjoyable stay.Momijiya Honkan Takaosansou exceeded our expectations with its exceptional hospitality, delectable dining options, and serene ambiance.
